August 14th-Simmer and Slurp WILL CLOSE EARLY TODAY DUE TO THE HEAT.(AUGUST 14th)


There are 99 reasons to be open and only one reason to close early- 99 degree temperature out there- and it wins!

99 is too hot. It’s too hot for soup. It’s too hot for grilled sandwiches. It’s too hot for a certain person to be bending over the grill and making said sandwiches.

So, reluctantly, but thinking of my and Maggie’s health, we will close at 3:00pm and re-open on (and for) our regular schedule (WEDNESDAY 11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.).


SLURPS

CHILLED Creamy Arugula- Organic baby arugula, Yukon gold potato, sweet onion, celery, garlic. Puréed with coconut milk. Topped with organic, local micro-arugula. (GF) (VEGAN) Served with Slow Rise bread.

RIZZO-FUN- GUY- All the creamy, mushroomy goodness of risotto... all the slurpiness of soup. Arborio rice, sweet onion, mushrooms, organic baby spinach and nutmeg. Topped with grated parmesan. (Wheat Gluten Free) Served with Slow Rise Bread.


Thick Veggie Soup (aka Minestrone)- Sweet onion, organic rainbow carrots, celery, garlic, tomato, local, organic green beans, green pepper, kidney and Great Northern beans, organic rosemary, herbs, and organic spinach. Gluten Free pasta added to order. (GF) (VEGAN w/o cheese). Topped with grated parmesan. Served with Slow Rise Bread.


Kale, Potato and Linguica - Organic kale, red potato, sliced linguica, chopped tomato, garlic, sweet onion, white beans and vinegar. Topped with grated parmesan. Served with Slow Rise bread.
